The theme for World Environment Day 2025 is #BeatPlasticPollution, and at ARMA, we're proud to showcase how our members are rising to the challenge by transforming recycled plastics into innovative, long-lasting solutions.
Here are just a few standout examples of how rotational moulding is helping to build a more sustainable future:
Melbourne Rotomould - Loof Watering Cans
Melbourne Rotomould collaborated with industrial designer and fabricator Blake Witherow to produce Loof watering cans. Made from post consumer bottle caps sourced via LIDS4KIDS Victoria, each watering can is unique. Loof Homewares seeks to design and manufacture locally made homewares, sustainably sourced from recycled materials.
AR Moulding & Vision Plastics - ArmorZone Barriers
ARMA members AR Moulding and Vision Plastics joined forces to develop ArmorZone barriers with recycled content for Ingal Civil Products. Designed for the traffic management industry, these barriers incorporate recycled plastic, are fully recyclable, and meet strict traffic management industry requirements. It's a great example of how industry collaboration can drive sustainable innovation without compromising performance.
Recycled Plastic Noise Walls
Manufactured by IPA Mouldings, Pact Reuse’s Recycled Plastic Noise Walls turn hard-to-recycle plastics, including both post-consumer and pre-consumer waste, into durable, functional infrastructure. These patented rotationally moulded panels are designed for noise abatement and facade cladding, incorporating up to 80% recycled content. Built to withstand the Australian climate, they can be customised to suit the aesthetic of each community they serve. Compared to conventional concrete products, they offer lower costs and a smaller environmental footprint.
Ozzi Kleen & Hive Haven – V9 Australian Native Stingless Beehive:
Ozzi Kleen proudly manufactures Hive Haven’s revolutionary hexagonal V9 insulated beehive, crafted from recycled materials and components. Designed to improve hive health and productivity, the V9 helps protect and preserve Australian native stingless bees by effectively reducing the risk of overheating.
From road barriers to watering cans, these products show how rotational moulding can reduce waste and create sustainable solutions for everyday challenges.
