Sustainability Initiative

At Gyro, sustainability is embedded in everything we do, from design to manufacturing. We assess every aspect and decision through an environmental lens to ensure long-term value and minimal environmental impact. We strive to change the narrative surrounding plastic within manufacturing to create durable, recyclable products built to last. Our Gyro-Cycle initiative reinforces this mission by regenerating returned old and damaged items back into our product range, avoiding landfill. With thoughtful design, engineering and manufacturing, we believe plastic can be part of a sustainable future.

 

Toitu Certified & Tracking & Managing our Carbon Footprint

We are proud to be Toitu Carbon Certified! This certification represents our active commitment to reducing carbon emissions and continuously improving our operations. It is a partnership that encourages accountability and measurable progress in environmental responsibility.

Through our Gyro-Cycle initiative, we collect and regenerate old and damaged products from 17 partner participant sites. Returned items are weighed, cleaned and granulated before being processed into reusable powder. We continue with environmentally conscious decisions around our fleet which includes electric and hybrid vehicles within our company fleet supported by our onsite EV charging stations here at our premises in reducing our fuel consumption. Internally, we promote a paperless operation with digital workflows and stringent recycling to minimise waste.

 

Energy Efficiency & Emissions Reduction

Gyro has implemented a range of initiatives to further improve energy efficiency while supporting staff well-being. A shift to a four-day work week for our production team has significantly reduced natural gas and power usage without compromising productivity. Facility upgrades, including increased natural lighting and motion sensor systems have further minimised energy consumption.

Looking ahead, the company is exploring possible solar energy solutions and gas meters to better monitor and manage energy use. Additionally, elevating the Gyro-Cycle initiative remains a key focus to broaden environmental impact across more sites and reduce waste.

 

Sustainable Sourcing & Solutions for the future

Across both Gyro & Gyro-EV, sustainability is central to how materials are sourced and products are developed. The team prioritises local and regional suppliers, including from neighbouring Australia, to reduce freight related emissions and support a circular economy. This approach is strengthened by close partnerships with like-minded suppliers who share the same environmental values, ensuring every product is created with purpose and responsibility.

This commitment extends into the EV Market, where our brand Gyro-EV offers universal charger mounting solutions, designed to simplify installations across any brand. By providing tailored and durable solutions for EV infrastructure, the brand supports the shift toward cleaner, low-emission transport while maintaining sustainable practices throughout the product lifecycle.
